Yes, I take Premera. I also see folks through Lyra Health if your employer works with them. If you have other insurance for which you’d like to use out-of-network benefits, I will provide a superbill if requested that you can submit to your insurance company. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to learn about out-of-network reimbursement rates and how to submit claims.

Payments are made via credit card, FSA card, or HSA card through the electronic health record program I use. You are required to keep a card on file.

Like most therapists, I require you inform me at least 48 hours before your scheduled session if you wish to cancel. If an appointment is missed or sufficient notice is not provided to cancel a session, I charge for the session.

A law that went into effect in 2022 called "The No Surprises Act” requires that I provide you with a “good faith estimate” for the cost of care I provide. Based on our initial consultation conversation, I will provide this information before we begin our work together.
an additional note about fees & insurance
I acknowledge therapy’s inaccessibility due to its cost for many. While taking insurance increases therapy’s accessibility for those who have a particular insurance, it also requires that I diagnose (and pathologize) individuals when they experience “normal” or reasonable feelings and reactions to life’s events and our culture and world. And it means that you’ll have a record of having been diagnosed with some type of “illness” because insurance won’t cover sessions otherwise. Having a diagnosis may impact you outside health insurance; for example, it may impact your ability to seek other types of insurance—like life insurance or insurance for long-term care. If you wish to take insurance or submit a superbill, we’ll speak in more detail about potential implications this may have for you.
